• Wagons and strollers are welcome. They are field friendly but may be bumpy

picking how-to

We want everyone to enjoy beautiful blooms — thank you for helping us care for the field! Please only pick blooms from the designated U-Pick area.

How to Pick:

• Choose a fully colored tulip that is just beginning to open. Please only pick blooms from the designated U Pick area
• Grasp the stem low near the base
• Gently pull straight up and clip the stem near the soil
• Place your tulip carefully into your bucket or wrap
• Get your blooms into water as soon as possible

Field Etiquette

• Stay in designated walking paths
• Watch your step and avoid stepping between rows
• Children must be supervised at all times
• Please only pick blooms in the marked U Pick area

caring for your tulips & bulbs

With proper care, your tulips can last 5 to 10 days indoors!

Fresh Cut Tulip Care

• Tulips continue to grow after being picked, so expect them to open and bloom further in your vase
• Trim one half inch off the stems when you get home
• Place in a clean vase with fresh, cool water
• Remove any leaves that sit below the water line
• Keep out of direct sunlight and away from heat vents
• Change the water every one to two days
• Fun Fact- Tulips naturally bend toward light. This is normal and part of their charm!
